The Village of Sayward is seeking a Finance/Administration Clerk with a strong sense of teamwork and a good communicator. The ideal candidate will also have a solid and varied accounting background with a good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office products. The successful applicant will act as a backup to the Deputy Finance/Administration Officer during vacation and sick days, and, will be called upon to work full-time during peak periods such as year-end, the annual audit and property tax time. This casual part-time position averages 19 hrs./week and has a post probationary period wage of $22.44/hr. Special project work will also be part of the routine.
The Finance/Administration Clerk position performs a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial work, including: accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, financial reporting and analysis, account reconciliations, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, purchasing, budgeting and administrative duties for the Village of Sayward. This position will have significant interaction with staff and the residents of the Village of Sayward in the performance of his/her duties and be expected to provide a high level of customer service.
The applicant must have completed some formal accounting coursework and may be working towards an accounting designation. In addition, at least three years of related accounting experience is required.
